How far did you drive to reach your fishing spot last week? In some areas of Utah, fish may travel just as far to find ideal habitat or the place they instinctively reproduce. It is important to keep waterways connected so these important journeys aren’t interrupted. In some situations — due to artificial diversions, natural barriers, habitat loss, drought or a changing environment — fish are not able to reach their destinations and complete their natural life cycle.
